Selecting a product when you have hairloss

Many of our customers are undergoing chemotherapy or surgery to the head/throat or are looking for products for a family member or friend that is.  You can view some of their comments if you wish. This page sets out to help you find the best product for hair loss or scarring to the head or neck.
 

The most popular line with those undergoing chemotherapy is our Headwraps.  These are pre-shaped & offer a snug fit as well as securely covering hair loss.  Many have a towelling strip at the forehead that acts as a sweatband & provides extra comfort, particularly the deluxe designs, where this is extra deep.

Large Headwraps are deeper & roomier than our standard Headwraps, & this line is especially designed to fully cover hair-loss.  They are very comfortable & like our other headwraps, you simply tie them at the back to achieve best fit.   Whilst most Headwraps are cotton, the range includes some in ultra soft or warm fleece materials.   Simply check out the product description of any Headwrap for more detail, including measurements.

We stock a wide range of Bandanas that can be worn either as scarves or neckerchiefs. These are simple squares of material that are then folded or tied to suit. There are numerous colours & designs to choose from. In order to cover hair loss, some people opt for a large Bandana.  It is worth noting that Kerala designs are particularly soft & kinder to sensitive areas.

We appreciate that prompt delivery is important to those commencing chemotherapy & post orders out on the same day that we receive them (Mon-Fri where an order is received by 5 p.m. GMT) so that our customers experience minimal delays.

The Panache range is made from more material than the other Headwrap styles.  They are highly adjustable in that the wearer can choose how far to turn back the cuff before tying them at the back in the normal way.

Buffs® are hard to beat for comfort & versatility & can be worn in various different ways as either head, neck or face-wear. They are all soft, hem & seam-free so have nothing to irritate sensitive areas. They help to keep the wearer cool in hot weather & warm in cold weather.  As well as looking good, headwear can help keep you warm in cold weather and, crucially, protect you from the sun. This is particularly important because the scalp will be particularly sensitive during this time. UV Buffs® are specially designed for sunny weather, offering high levels of ultra-violet protection.  Buffs® are available in Adult, Junior or Baby sizes.  There are hundreds of designs to add variety & fun.
